Internationaler Universitätslehrgang Eurolaser Academy
(wird derzeit nicht angeboten) (E)
Veranstalter: Technische Universität Wien, Institut für Umform-technik und Hochleistungslasertechnik gemeinsam mit EuroLaserAcademy (ELA) bzw. Austrian Laser Association (ARGELAS)
Voraussetzungen: Absolvent/inn/en technischer Studienrichtungen, in Ausnahmefällen gleichqualifizierte Interessierte.
Zielsetzung: Dieser Lehrgang wird derzeit teilweise bereits in virtueller Form abgehalten und soll künftighin komplett in virtueller Form ablaufen.
The principal objectives of this programme are to disseminate up to date information and knowledge in industrial laser technology, and to stimulate the use of laser materials processing by European industry through advanced postgraduate and post experience training. An evening class style programme has been designed and implemented, covering 90 theoretical lectures on laser sources, processes and applications, and 56 hours of practical training. Other European educational initiatives in the field of laser technology are undertaken in the framework of the ELANET, the ELA LINGUA , DELTA and the EuroLaser UETP: „Safety in the Industrial Applications of Lasers“ projects.
The postgraduate training programme EuroLaser Academy initialised in the framework of the COMETT programme of the European Communities is now continued in the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci programme. This training programme that addresses mainly mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, technical physicists, materials scientists and welding experts gives graduates from technical studies the possibility to deepen their skills in laser technology in the framework of a practice-oriented education. The close cooperation with the Institute of Non-Conventional Processing, Forming and Laser Technology of the Vienna University of Technology and with a number of other leading European laser institutions, like for instance this year with the Optical Institute of the Technical University of Berlin, the Research Institute of Non-Equilibrum Phenomena of the University of Marseille and the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Liverpool, ensures an up to date training programme based on latest research results in the field. The main components of the training programme have been developed in accordance with the results of a comprehensive needs analysis carried out in small and medium sized companies (SMEs) and prepared by well renowned scientists from all over Europe. The ELA manuscripts have been published in two volumes by Kluwer Academic Publications in the Laser Engineers Series and deals with laser sources and applications.
The main types of training and qualifications are:
decentralised theoretical courses (evening class style) in regions with a demand for laser education but with no existing structure for its provision
centralised laboratory training in leading institutions with state of the art laser equipment
blocked course programme in Liverpool, UK
short seminars and workshops for brushing up the knowledge of previous participants
Proceedings published in book form Handbook of the EuroLaser Academy, forming part of the ,Engineering Lasers‘ Series.
Participants who pass the final examination are awarded with the „European laser engineer“ qualification.
Dauer: 2 Semester, 2 Abende/Woche oder Blockveranstaltungen; Veranstaltungsorte: Berlin, Marseille, Liverpool, Stuttgart, Valencia, Wien
The structure of the EuroLaser Academy in evening class style, block form or other organisational units offers interested parties from industry and commerce easy access to the course programme.
Abschluss: European Laser Engineer
